Why Bank exams are easier than other competitive exams ???

Most of the students ask which exam is easier to prepare and crack in a single year. I suggest students to prepare for Bank exams for the following reasons :-

Advantages:

  1. Limited Syllabus
    • Bank Exam syllabus (PO/Clerk) is comparatively lesser compared to other exams as the General studies part is comparatively very less compared to other exams (SSC CGL, CHSL)
    • Even Quant syllabus is limited as you don't need to prepare for Pure Maths (SSC)
  2. Exam Cycle (Low)
    • Bank Exams complete cycle for completion starting from exam to final joining is way less as it can completed within in a span of 6 months. But SSC Exams take over 1.5 years for final completion
Nevertheless they are also few cons as mentioned below:-

Disadvantages:

  1. Highly Competitive (High Cutoff)
    • All competitive exams are tough to crack because of higher cutoff and it's the same case for Bank exams. Bank clerks cutoff are increasing every year and you need to score minimum 70% marks to clear prelims but whereas you need to score minimum 50% for Probationary Officer posts.
  2. Sectional timings
    • Bank exams have sectional timings for each section (Quant, Reasoning and English), so you definitely need to prepare well on all subjects as your success depends on your score on all subjects.
    • Whereas for other  exams, sectional timings are not absent in preliminary stages

Conclusion

At the end of the day, students aspiring for government job need not worry about the pros and cons of the exams. He should be able to target exams based on his strengths and write sufficient exams as it increases your chance of cracking Job.

All the best!
